What Almighty said about iron

And We also sent down iron in which there lies great force and which has many uses for mankind… (Qur’an, 57:25)

That was verse in surat al-Hadid (iron). The word “anzalna” in surat al-Hadid translated as "sent down" and used for iron in the verse. But if we consider the literal meaning of the word "sent down," it implies a very significant scientific miracle and also fact as modern astronomical findings also said that the iron found in our world has come from giant stars in outer space. Same as Earth, the iron in the entire Solar System comes from outer space.

Iron can and only be produced in the big star which larger than the Sun and having a few hundred million degrees temperature. Since the sun surface temperature only reach 6,000 degrees Celsius, and it core temperature is 20 million degrees we can say, it's imposible for iron formed in our sun.

The word iron (Hadid) occurs 6 times in the Qur'an, while iron is also at 6th d-block element. The 6th occurrence of the word iron, and the only one in this sura, is in the 26th. ayah (counting the Basmala (q.v.)). The atomic number of iron is also 26, represent the number of protons in its nucleus. Al-Hadid is the 57th. sura of the Qur'an. While the mass number of the most abundant (91.72%) isotope of iron is 56, represent the number of nucleons in its nucleus.

It is clear that this fact could not have been known in the 7th century, when the Qur'an was revealed. Nevertheless, this fact is related in the Qur’an, the Word of Allah, Who encompasses all things in His infinite knowledge.
